Brookhaven Residents Featured in the Art Pop Up + Shop
3 Min Read
The Art Pop Up + Shop is the result of a collaborative effort between Explore Brookhaven and Art advocate and consultant, Sharon Moskowitz of srmART Connect.
Applications to the Shop rolled in in the dozens and of the 28 artists selected, five live in Brookhaven, GA: Len Brown, Elyse Defoor, Lauren Loden, Lola Okunola, Adrina Richard, and Samantha Trust.
Len Brown, LenNelsonArt
As a self-taught artist, Len Brown creates modern whimsical folk art featuring imaginary creatures and characters. Len views his 20-year craft as individual art projects, rescuing materials that would crowd our landfills and transforming them into pieces suitable for display.
Outside of the Art Pop Up, Len’s pieces are available for purchase online (https://lennelsonart.com/) and through Etsy (https://www.etsy.com/shop/CrazyHouseOfCritters).
Elyse Defoor, Spitfire Artworks
Elyse Defoor uses photography, sculpture, installation, drawing and painting – whatever it takes – to express a variety of conditions faced by the human body and spirit.

Lauren Loden, Artist Lauren Loden
Lauren is an artist and encaustic painter whose work reflects fluid seasons of wonder, loss, rebirth, and letting go. Encaustic art is an archival fine art that produces pieces with unique, unreproducible variations.
You can purchase Lauren’s art locally at Marguerite’s on Dresden and commissioned pieces online – (https://www.artistlaurenloden.com/)
Lola Okunola, Contempo Africano
Lola Okunola is a mixed media artist that enjoys working with all types of mediums and bright colors. Her passion for African Women, fashion, travel, and culture reflects in her work through the color, the attires, and prints. Lola’s art can be found on leather bags and various products such as apparel, greeting cards, and home accessories.

Adrina has been perfecting her craft since 2004, using handbuilt stamped and textured forms from white stoneware and porcelain. Adrina’s pieces are functional due to vibrantly glazed interiors.
