Kilwins Town Brookhaven

If you are looking for a classic ice cream shop environment, Kilwins is the perfect place for you! Upon entering, you're greeted with smiles from the team members and the sweet smell of their 24 original made ice cream flavors and other treats. You can find over 75 different hand-crafted treats like caramel apples, chocolates, fudge, milkshakes, brittle, and ice cream cakes just to name a few. Kilwins also sells items that can be taken home to enjoy such as turtles, popcorn, assorted chocolates, ice cream toppings, and taffy chews. Our team tasted Kilwins's strawberry chunk ice cream. There were fresh strawberries in every bite and the rich milk and cream were undeniably delicious!

Mercado de Alabastos

Mercado de Alabastos (formerly PanPaleta) makes handmade ice-cream with fresh fruits, using traditional Mexican paletero recipes. They are not afraid to use different flavors to spice up your average popsicle. One flavor that ranks high among customers is the “Mango Con Chile” or “Spicy Mango” popsicle, which our team decided to give a try! This popsicle was the perfect combination of spicy and sweet! Not only does Mercado de Alabastos make in-house ice pops, but they also make fresh bread, desserts, pastries, and heartier snack foods such as tamales.

Southern Custard

Southern Custard sells frozen custard that is made fresh daily and a variety of other treats! They swirl classic vanilla and chocolate custard all week but have a flavor of the day too. Their menu also includes sundaes, shakes, and malts, floats, espresso drinks, and pies. Explore Brookhaven tried Southern Custard’s classic vanilla and their lavender honey flavor of the day on top of their Poffertjes dessert. Both flavors had the smooth custard texture that we were looking for with the perfect amount of sweetness.
