Taste Brookhaven Serves Up Top Eats and Drinks Every Year

This summer, Explore Brookhaven hosted more than 15 area restaurants for the first-ever Taste Brookhaven.

Held at the Hyatt Regency Perimeter at Villa Christina, the event offered food, craft cocktails, wine and beer tastings, plus live music and a silent auction – all for the good cause of supporting Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA).

Brookhaven offers a variety of restaurants to please every set of taste buds. Food and beverage vendors for the evening included a variety of local favorites Haven Restaurant and Bar, Petite Violette, Secreto, La Carreta, HOBNOB Neighborhood Tavern, Pour Kitchen + Bar, Valenza, Pure Taqueria and many more.

This foodie’s paradise featured everything from signature tacos and lobster tamales to mortadella paninis and short rib. Local dessert shop, Southern Custard, also treated guests to a variety of house-crafted flavors.

In addition to fully stocked bars, the evening offered a number of specialty cocktails, including a Mai Tai, a Tin Cup Old Fashioned, a Chihuahua - Brookhaven Sunset and a grapefruit concoction from Bare Bone Vodka.

Some of the coveted silent auction items included fine jewelry, local art, lake house getaways, laser cosmetic treatments and tickets for the Atlanta Braves and Falcons, as well as University of Georgia and Clemson University football games.

VIP tickets provided guests with an elevated experience, including an exclusive reception complete with private bars, food stations and a complimentary gift bag with premium offerings from many area businesses.

After sampling tasty bites and drinks from top chefs, attendees danced the night away as local musicians performed countless classics. Atlanta-based artist Daniel Curran even captured the mood of the festivities with a live painting.

Made possible by a number of generous sponsors, Taste Brookhaven raised nearly $70,000 for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. With the mission to make kids better today and healthier tomorrow, CHOA is headquartered in Brookhaven, and is currently building a new campus to better serve and support the community.
