National Hamburger Month

Did you know Americans eat nearly 50 billion burgers a year? That’s about three burgers a week for every single person in the United States.

So, I think it’s safe to say America has a burger obsession. Whether you like a fast food burger or a gourmet burger, plain or with lots of toppings, there is a burger out there for everyone.

And, it doesn’t have to be beef. There are so many options out there now for “burgers” it’s almost Impossible not to find one you like.

Since May is National Hamburger Month, here’s a list of places to grab a burger in Brookhaven, Georgia to feed your cravings.

Lucky’s Burger & Brew

At Lucky’s, you’ll find a wide variety of proteins and toppings to suit your fancy. Try one of their curated burgers like the Georgia Dawg Pounder. Fried pimento cheese ball atop the 7oz burger, served with a spicy red pepper jelly and mayonnaise. Wash it down with one of their rotating drafts.

There, A Bar & Eatery

The featured item is the house-ground Bison Burger with a double patty, white Cheddar, avocado, poblano, red onion, and spicy mayo, served with fries.

HobNob Neighborhood Tavern

All burgers are served on Alon’s Bakery brioche buns. Our personal favorite here is the Turkey Burger with provolone, tomato, arugula, pickled onions and basil mayo, served with fries. If you’re so inclined, check out the looong list of bourbons, ryes, and whiskeys.

Grindhouse Killer Burgers

Make your own with your choice of proteins, cheese, veggies, sauce and toppings or try one of Grindhouse’s burger styles like the Cowboy Style with cheddar, applewood bacon, crispy Vidalia onion ring and BBQ sauce. Complete the meal with Frings (fries & o-rings) and a boozy milkshake!

Grub Burger Bar

You can’t go wrong with one of their signature beef burgers, but they also offer beyond burgers, wild caught salmon and the Jive Turkey- pesto-seasoned ground turkey burger, bacon, swiss, sprouts, avocado, and chipotle aioli on a wheat bun. Don’t forget a side like the split decision (fries and sweet potato fries) and a drink from the full bar or a spiked milkshake!

Kaleidoscope Bistro & Pub

The Kaleidoscope Burger boasts pimento cheese, slaw, green tomato chow chow, and bread and butter pickles. Choose a single or double patty and maybe a whiskey drink or a lager drink.

Jo’s Grille

Jo’s has options for beef, turkey, veggie and chicken burgers. Try the Western Burger served with crisp smoked bacon, grilled onions, Cheddar, and tangy BBQ sauce.
