New Orleans Food Festival at Petite Violette
To celebrate Fat Tuesday and Mardi Gras, Petite Violette, offers a limited-time New Orleans Food Festival Dinner Menu. Served every evening at dinner only, from 5 to 9 p.m., beginning Friday, February 28 through Saturday, March 15, this special dining event offers Cajun and Creole appetizers and entrées featuring spices of the South, plus award-winning New Orleans desserts, to top the spicy off with some sweet. Prices range from $10 to $35. Reservations are recommended by calling 404-634-6268.
The New Orleans Food Festival Menu starts off with three appetizers. There is Crab Louie, which is jumbo lump crab meat served over lettuce with Louie dressing, boiled egg, and tomato. A New Orleans Oyster Sampler features Gulf Coast oysters served two ways—Rockefeller and Casino styles. Last is a Petite Violette menu favorite, Cajun Seafood Gumbo with andouille smoked sausage.
Entrées on the menu include a Crawfish Étouffée, crawfish tails in a spicy seafood sauce over rice; Cajun Pappardelle Pasta with shrimp, crawfish, mussels, andouille sausage, tomatoes, and trinity vegetables; and Chicken & Seafood Jambalaya studded with andouille sausage, chicken, shrimp and mussels. All entrées are served with a spicy cornbread muffin.
For dessert, there’s no King Cake; however, there are authentic desserts. Petite Violette offers two versions of their award-winning New Orleans Bread Pudding: the original covered with a buttery whiskey sauce or the special chocolate and caramel.
